Little Harbour, Abacos, Bahamas, Earth | Sailboat Story 131

If you’re arriving to the Abacos from Eleuthera, there’s an excellent chance that you’re first stop will be Little Harbour. It’s small, excellently sheltered harbor is home to Pete’s Pub and Gallery – one of the most well-known restaurants and businesses in the Bahamas.

Initially we were planning to anchor just outside of Little Harbour because we wanted to avoid the using the mooring balls, but we were driven inside by very rolly conditions in the outer anchorage. We reluctantly entered the harbor and successfully tied up to our very first mooring ball.

We’re very glad that we decided to stay inside Little Harbour. It’s a very neat place. It’s so tucked away and quaint. It was a real pleasure to simply row the dinghy to shore instead of having to bother with the outboard motor.

The next few days were spent exploring the area, eating at Pete’s Pub, and hanging out with Wes & Kate of Wicked Salty.
