Ep. 71 - Exploring Panama (San Lorenzo, Fort Sherman and Isla Grande)
April 28, 2021 by S/V Full Send | Language: EN Play Time: 00:20:32 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

Our friend Diana comes down to help us cross the canal as a line handler, but before we cross the canal we do some site seeing! First we check out the old Spanish Fort San Lorenzo built in the late 1500’s on the Chagres River about 8 miles from Colon. Then we check out the old US Army Coastal Artillery Batteries on Fort Sherman, where the jungle has reclaimed most of the historic site. Then we set off for a trip to Isla Grande which is a part of the San Blas islands and check out Latin Americas highest light house before heading to Panama City for a few days before getting ready to transit the Canal!
