95 - Does The Boat Work Ever End??

Sailing around the world on a boat is a lot of work. Sometimes, it’s more work than others. We had a stretch of about three months where it felt like we were constantly working on boat projects.

Even after Starry Horizons got a lot of TLC at The Boat Works, we still had to work through some electrical gremlins with our new lithium battery install and two new issues popped up as well. The compressor on our freezer was running constantly (not good and equals lots of power use) and a relay in our shore power frequency converter had failed.

It’s especially frustrating when having to organize repairs gets in the way of cruising, but we managed to coordinate electricians, refrigeration techs, ordering new parts AND made our way up to Mooloolaba for a bit of fun with new friends. It’s always helpful to have reminders of why we’re out here and see the light at the end of the tunnel!
