56 - Our Last Adventures in New Zealand!
Our time in New Zealand was rapidly drawing to a close. But before we could sail north for another cruising season in the South Pacific, there were a couple of things left on our New Zealand to-do list. Little Dipper (our tender) needed some TLC, there were more hikes to do and we were finally able to cross off the top item on Amy’s wish list: the Waitangi Treaty Grounds Hāngi and Concert.
I know we keep saying we did a lot awesome things in New Zealand, but the Hāngi and Concert was right up there near the top of the list. It was a great cultural evening and we both really enjoyed learning more about Māori culture. Being elected Chief for the evening didn’t hurt either!

Welcome to Out Chasing Stars! We're Admiral Amy and Captain David and we're currently exploring the world on s/v Starry Horizons, our Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 catamaran. We started out (nervously!) watching our boat get launched in La Rochelle, France in October of 2014. Since then we've completed an entire world circumnavigation, sailing over 37,000nm, and documented it all here on YouTube. We started making these videos to show our family and friends what life was like on a sailboat, and we're still amazed that other people have also started following along.
