27 - The Race is on to Fakarava!
We set off on a mini-regatta with two other boats on our sail over to Fakarava in the Tuamotus. We may not have won, but I think we at least acquitted ourselves well and had some fun!
Once we made our way through the North Pass, we had a great time exploring the island, including getting tour from Gunther on how they make the famous black pearls. We topped everything off with some amazing snorkeling at the South Pass. Lots of great coral and black tipped sharks!

We started out (nervously!) watching our boat get launched in La Rochelle, France in October of 2014. Since then we've completed an entire world circumnavigation, sailing over 37,000nm, and documented it all here on YouTube.
