24 - Sailing 3,142nm Across the Pacific

We did it! Starry Horizons and crew sailed 3,142nm in just over 19 days and went from the Galapagos to Fatu Hiva in the Marquesas to complete our Pacific Ocean crossing!
There were a few hiccups along the way, including tough weather in the doldrums and some chaffing issues, but overall, Neptune smiled upon us and we had an amazing passage. Phoenix even managed to get in on the fun, capturing us in the middle of the Pacific and a view of Fatu Hiva rising up out of the horizon that we’ll never forget.

Welcome to Out Chasing Stars! We're Admiral Amy and Captain David and we're currently exploring the world on s/v Starry Horizons, our Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 catamaran. We started out (nervously!) watching our boat get launched in La Rochelle, France in October of 2014. Since then we've completed an entire world circumnavigation, sailing over 37,000nm, and documented it all here on YouTube. We started making these videos to show our family and friends what life was like on a sailboat, and we're still amazed that other people have also started following along.
