Cruisers who actually have sailed through the Maldives are pretty rare. So since we spent 8 weeks there, we figured we’d share 10 thoughts about what it’s like to sail in the Maldives. (And yes, we do recognize the irony of wanting to respect local regulations and customs while still going to islands not on our travel list. It’s a very complicated subject and difficult to elaborate on in a short video. But we did have several conversations about it with various officials and tried to limit our visits to inhabited islands to ones that were already home to tourist guesthouses.)
