There are a number of projects we could not do in the tent because of space restrictions.

While we loved the protection of being inside the tent, there were a number of projects that were being held up, due to the lack of space in there.
For starters, you can see the nose cones we’ve added at the bow, since we’ve gotten into the work yard. They’re only temporarily bolted in place at the moment, but with the extra space, now we’ll be able to permanently get them in with our methacrylate and fiberglass.
The sterns are another area adding length to our boat, meaning it was a project best left for when it wasn’t taking up precious space in the tent. Our new sterns, which were molded from Max Cruise in 2022, not only add two feet in length to our boat, but allow us to have kick up rudders.
Then next year, once the bows are on, we can add the forebeam and longeron. Thankfully we have all the pieces we need for that project, safely stored away in the marina’s shipping container.
Tucker gives a quick rundown of what’s happening with the tent, as that is in desperate need of a makeover. The guys are working hard to put in new baseboards and belly bands, so that by the time temperatures drop, they can enclose it in brand new shrink wrap.
Lastly, Matt and I take a ride on our friend Ryan and Sophie’s Chesapeake Light Craft wooden electric motor boat. I had spent a day this past winter helping Sophie build it, but hadn’t seen it since. Now that she’s in the water, she’s a piece of beauty, and the perfect boat for all the little creeks around here!
We hope you enjoy!
Thank you SO MUCH to all our Patrons for your continued support. Without your help, these videos, And This Build, would not be possible.
Much love,
Jessica, Matt & Georgie
