I have to go back and fix EVERY SINGLE spot of this specific feature, after Matt decides he wants nothing to do with it.

Last week you saw us working on the prop shaft and deadwood, and we had hopes that this week we’d be glassing in the remainder and filling our new propellers that would be arriving. But, we’re waiting on a laser from a friend to align everything for the prop shaft, and the propellers only arrived last night. So – that will have to wait for next week!

Instead, we take you through a basic week for us of odd jobs that we go through when there is no big project to work on. I (Jessica) am going back to refill and re-fair ALL the coves that have already been covered with our primer. You’ll see why in the video.

And while my job isn’t too interesting to watch, Matt does make some visual progress with his odd jobs. On the interior of the boat he sands down and glasses the pieces of our cabin top together, since they’d only been joined with methacrylate to this point. He then fairs them and preps those areas for gelcoat.

He also works on filling and fairing all the holes within the forward cabin top, of where we screwed it to the deck when initially bonding.

To end this episode, since we’re in real time and that was all the work we had available to show, we bring you back to Canada with us where we left Xantrex and hopped on a ferry to Vancouver Island to meet up with some friends. We have dinner at the Victoria Royal Yacht Club with the Commodor and the next day, go on a golf outing with the crew from BRNKL.

Stay tuned over the next two weeks, at the end of our episodes, to see what other fun we got up to on our ‘time off’.

Enjoy!
