05 | Cruising the Channel Islands - Sailing to Mexico
May 05, 2022 by Madison Boatworks | Language: EN Play Time: 00:20:11 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

We left San Francisco Bay to continue our passage down the US West Coast, cruising the Channel Islands on our way. From remote and rugged San Miguel Island, to the charming town on Avalon on Catalina Island, we were continually surprised by how great the cruising was on these desert California islands. Eventually we worked our way down to the Mexican border, poised for the next big step in our adventure.
Julia is an Atkin designed Ingrid ketch. She is a traditional wooden boat, constructed of fir and cedar on oak, built in Desolation Sound in 1960.
