What We Should Have Done at the BOATYARD // Ep.61

🇬🇧It’s crazy how much stock can be accumulated on a boat. We take advantage of the return of good weather to start a BIG spring cleaning in the boat. Every inches will be clean, that’s for sure. It’s our Marina Date of the Year!

It is also the moment for us to add a 350 W solar panel to be even more autonomous in energy, to get rid of our old AGM batteries now that we are in Lithium, and to start the construction of the new bimini… The old plywood from Bali no longer wants to know anything about Thai humidity!

Such a big cleaning that we even discover things in the boat! We should have done it at our boatyard time in July (playlist), but the lack of time and then the rain delayed this important moment for our preparation for the ocean crossing…. At the beginning of January, we will be ready to go!

Ocean of love,

Claire, Jo and Sticky

🇬🇧We set sails to follow our 2 passions: the OCEAN and SAILING

We are a young ocean lovers couple, Claire and Jo ( with our cat Sticky!) living on a sailboat full time and sailing around the world on a small budget but with big dreams. To accomplish our dream of living on the ocean, we chose a 1984 ferrocement boat, Sagar Rani. A simple lifestyle: exactly the one we always wanted as a young sailing couple. In our sailing travel vlogs, we will bring you sailing with us, showing you the real boat life ( so some boat works!), spearfishing, exploring the ocean, hiking, visiting new countries, new cultures, kitesurfing… Well, in fact, we’ll share the reality of our sailing lifestyle around the world!
