For this race I had to bring the boat from Vancouver to the Gulf Islands so we made it a weekend event! There were 107 boats on the registration list and it was a very fun start followed by an enjoyable downwind run with so man spinnakers flying!
In the end about half the fleet didn’t finish due to light to no wind for the latter half of the day, but we stuck it out for the 24 hr time cut off and we could actually see the finish when we ran out of time.
Bottom line thought….lots of fun!
