We are back in Fethiye & we love this part of Türkiye! (Sailing Dakini - Leave to Roam Ep. 92)

In this episode we leave the great anchorage at the entrance to the Gocek Marine Area and head on in to the park itself. It is so hot, one of the reasons we are underway is to get some air moving. The Gocek area is really busy and we decide to move on, and find Inlice Beach to anchor for the evening and have a look around.

After Inlice we sail West into Fethiye. This is a big city where we have been before and know what to expect. The anchorage isn't great here, no swimming even in 40degrees, but we know how to make the most of this fun town. We go to the movies, the main market, and do some exploring for a few days before we head off via the marina for fuel and a pumpout.

Al, from New Zealand and Kel from Australia met through work in 2010 and have been together ever since. Always infected by the travel bug they finally decided to head off on an adventure and started with Vietnam and Laos before heading to Sri Lanka, India, then Cambodia and Indonesia. Their mission is to explore as many off the beaten track places as possible through a slow travel philosophy on a tight budget.

UPDATE!!! After a few years of saving (thanks Covid) they finally did it. They now own DAKINI, a gorgeous Lagoon 421, and are (re) learning to sail while exploring the Mediterranean.
