The Nacra Inter 20 is BACK – Reboot of a Classic
The **Nacra Inter 20 is back** — but the new Inter 20 MK2 is a very different boat from the original.
This new 20-foot performance catamaran takes the hull shape developed for the **Nacra Carbon 20 and FCS20**, combines it with a platform around the width of the **Nacra Evolution F18**, and adds a powerful rig to create a modern reboot of a catamaran classic.
But rather than simply chasing maximum performance, the new **Nacra Inter 20 MK2** looks to be a more user-friendly approach to the 20-foot performance catamaran.
In the first half of the video, I get up close with the boat and take a detailed look at the hull shape, platform, rig, foils, rudders and some of the interesting design features.
Then it's time to go sailing.
With good wind and a pretty big sea running, we take the Inter 20 MK2 out and get a proper taste of what this new generation of 20-foot Nacra is like on the water.
For sailors who remember the original **Nacra Inter 20**, it's great to see the name return. The question is: has Nacra found the right balance between serious performance and a 20-footer that's actually more accessible to sail?
