How To Sail Out and Back Through Waves

Launching and landing through waves is one of the most challenging skills in catamaran sailing.

In this video I'm sailing the Nacra 450 Mk2 solo in Texel, Netherlands, working through waves that are easily big enough to capsize the boat. Throughout the session I explain exactly what I'm looking for, when I choose to go, when I wait, where I position the boat, and what to do when things don't go to plan.

If you've ever felt nervous about getting through surf, this video will help you build a clear process that works on any beach catamaran.
