Here’s a short clip from testing the Hobie 14 with the OS3 Evo mainsail.
After around 20 minutes of great sailing the forestay snapped resulting in the unceremonious dumping of the pilot into the sea!
In conclusion – this was the only boat that didn’t get new rigging this year – what a mistake. Always check your rigging, replace every few years.
Fortunately the Wildwind rescue service was quickly on hand to tow me back in!
