Against the Clock | 20 Tacks. 25 Knots. Solo.
How fast can you complete a perfect wire-to-wire tack in 25 knots... and can you keep doing it twenty times?
In this challenge I'm taking the FX One out solo in 20-25 knots to complete 20 consecutive high-wind tacks, timing every single one from the moment the tack begins until the boat is back at full speed on the new side.
As the stopwatch keeps running, the fatigue starts to build. Do the tack times get faster with rhythm... or slower as exhaustion takes over?
Whether you sail a Hobie, Nacra, F18, Dart, Tornado or any beach catamaran, you'll pick up techniques to improve your own high-wind tacking while seeing just how demanding fast, consistent wire-to-wire tacks really are.
