They faced personal challenges, managing space on a small boat and dealing with the odors from Silent Ones (toilets). Despite these difficulties, they persevered. The Journey of Self-Improvement The 6 months on the boat have changed both Huub and Daniela personally. Huub has seen his own personality bloom like a flower, becoming more confident in speaking up for what he believes. Weather and Sailing Experiences The couple has been blessed with mostly good weather. However, they have learned to appreciate the natural world around them and embrace their new home. Building Their Own Dream Boat The future holds exciting plans for Huub and Daniela. They’ve decided to build their own dream boat, aiming for a larger aluminum catamaran with fewer limitations. They encourage using protection from the sun and salt water, choosing clothing made to withstand these elements. They also stress the importance of making that initial decision to go. 45 days I traveled through New Zealand from the Northernmost point to the Southernmost point, then
100 days I traveled by motorbike through Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, then
365 days I traveled in my self-built campervan from Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, then
365 days I traveled with this van through Iran and Pakistan, then
180 days I built an off-grid log cabin in the woods in Spain, then
180 days I restored an old sailboat in Guatemala, then
365 days I traveled with this sailboat from Guatemala to Honduras, Cuba, Jamaica, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Grenada and more islands in the East Caribbean
