After a decent overnight run south toward Cape Hatteras, we enter the Gulf Stream late in the afternoon on Saturday, November 17. As usual the Stream tosses us about until we finally exit early the following morning. Winds then become southerly ahead of an advancing cold front, so we tack over to starboard and head in an east-southeast direction. The northerlies behind the front provide us with some fast sailing, and we push southeast as fast as our little craft can sail, in hopes of escaping bad weather approaching from the west.
