IT'S STARTING TO GET EASIER | Settling into our liveaboard sailing catamaran lifestyle
We’ve been onboard our Leopard 40 sailing catamaran for about 3 months and we are starting to get comfortable. So much so that it’s time for our dinghy to get her name! Jes breaks out the crafty side of her personality and we get to explore anouther wonderful small town – Belhaven, NC. Belhaven is the birthplace of the Atlantic Instracoastal Waterway because the last piece to be completed was the Pungo-Alligator River Canal, whose mouth is about 3 miles from Belhaven. Every year there is a big party, which unfortunately we were too late for, but it’s definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in the area.

Because if we've learned one thing in 2020 it's that there is no time like the present. With very little prior experience, join us as we learn the ropes, or lines, and as we explore and experience the world. We spent the last ~20 years totally landlocked in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. Charles made his way down to the Empire State of the South from VA Beach to attend college at Georgia Tech. Jes, a native Kansas girl, moved to the area in high school and eventually matriculated form University of Georgia. We met at our first job out of college in 2007, and were married by 2012. We are both still working our AMAZING jobs as a way of supporting our dream of living a bit outside of the lines.
