We visit UNESCO-listed old Melaka town before preparing SY Esper for the Malacca Strait.
There are still traces of its earlier grandeur to be found in the ancient alleyways and buildings of Melaka, and in this quick tour we offer a glimpse of life in the old port over the past 700 years.
After a few days R&R, it’s time to prepare for our most arduous sailing in years, through the Malacca Strait and into the world’s busiest shipping lanes in the Singapore Strait.
