SY Esper sailed herself, and felt steady as a rock. An over-nighter in the shadow of mighty Ko Phetra had us gently rolling, but at anchor next to Ko Tarutao the next afternoon even Millie-the-cat turned green from the relentless swell.
So it was anchor aweigh, and an evening passage south to Malaysia which brought the second day to a tranquil close.
It’s sailing-days like these which make all the preparation worthwhile.
“Come all ye young fellows that follow the sea.
To me weigh hey blow the man down!
And pray pay attention and listen to me,
Give me some time to blow the man down!”
Peace and fair winds!
