Fitting an induction hob on a sailboat – Sailing Ep146

Continuing the mini refit: broken dodger, replacing the old gas stove with an induction cooker… After Jamie’s parents left the holiday was over, and with a leaving deadline looming we still had one or two jobs to complete before heading to Sumatra. And we wondered if our BRAND NEW multi-coloured Code 0 coming all the way from Sri Lanka would arrive on time!

At Krabi Boat Lagoon, we assembled the old team: Ton joined us for some boat-carpenter-wizardry, Lek knocked up some seamless stainless steel work, and Sombat (now recovered from being blown up on a motor boat) got to grips with the new electrics. On deck, Suban re-shaped the dodger while Jai replaced the old topping lifts with new Dyneema. It was like the re-fit at PSS all over again! (See link to the Refit series below)

Peace and fair winds!

Making Cruising Plans on a Blustery Day | EPISODE 400!🎉
While hunkered down on the canal in the rain, we take a look back at a few of our moments aboard our sailboat and compare it to life now. There are similarities, not least the weather (yep, even on a canal boat we have to be mindful of the winds), but what...

Is off-grid mooring the last freedom? (Life on the riverbank) | Ep 398
