Have you been hit by lightning in a boat? We get cracking with “The Kraken”, our Code 0, then get stuck in the middle of lightning storms in the sea at night. The beginning of our 200 nautical mile sail to Java and Krakatoa is turning out to be a test of skills and endurance.
Battered by waves all year, the isolated island of Pulau Enggano is a dot in the Indian Ocean. And it turns out to be somewhere Liz says she could happily live for a while.
You asked us about light-wind sails, so we discuss the differences between a code 0, code D, jib, genoa, gennaker, spinnaker, screecher, parasailor, cruising chute and even mizzen staysail (or ballooner as our US friends call it😘).
