With the temporary crew now off the boat Jamie has to prepare for a 90 mile solo sail from Koh Lipe to Ao Chalong. This will take him into the night so he has to consider the pros and cons of either doing a straight run or going up the east side and island hopping (con’t below…)

The main issue is further heavy weather warnings. Hanging off a mooring and being blasted by strong winds does not fill Jamie with confidence. The obvious solution is to run straight up to Ao Chalong in one go, but this prevents further problems: fishing boats.

The seas get congested at night with local fishing boats so does Jamie risk doing a straight run?
