We finally pushed off the dock in Las Palmas and officially started our Atlantic passage… sort of. After a full crew debate, we’re calling this Day Zero. Zero braids, zero chill, and zero idea why numbering days is so hard. 😅

⚓ Untying lines and saying emotional goodbyes
⚓ Fuel dock chaos + fender juggling
⚓ Dingo’s ear splint update (and the incredible splint guy who helped — linked below!)
⚓ Bottom cleaning, anodes, speed transducer drama
⚓ Seasickness hits HARD (thanks, Monsters…)
⚓ Safety checks, anchor setup, and those first Atlantic swells
⚓ First night watch, raising sails, and FINALLY turning off the engine
⚓ The moment it felt real: we’re actually doing this
We’ve been grinding nonstop to make this departure window, and now that everything is ready, the nerves have shifted to excitement. The winds look good, spirits are climbing, and we are officially on our way toward the Caribbean. 🌊✨
Aiyana also has HUGE news…she just became a boat owner! And we’re hoping to make landfall before Christmas so she can pick up her new home on the water.
