Becalmed to Near Gale – The Final Sail of our Great Barrier Reef Cruising Season – Ep 47

Our eight month odyssey sailing amongst the tropical islands of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef on our Whitby 42 ketch finally comes to an end. We leave beautiful Double Island Point and then experience everything from no wind to a near gale all in the one day as we make our way south. After a stopover for the night in Pumicestone Passage at Bribie Island, we enjoy a leisurely sail across Moreton Bay to Our Dreamtime’s home port in Manly Boat Harbour, Brisbane eight months and 2,407 nautical miles or 4,459 kilometres after leaving. What a ride? We hope you’ve enjoyed it and will keep sailing along with us.

We have recently lashed out on a new, far more powerful laptop to assist with video editing and, with the help of our fantastic Patreon supporters, another radio mic to improve the audio. However we still have a wish list of gear we’d love to have in our equipment inventory to make our videos better for you in the new season commencing soon. If you would like to support our video productions you can do it for less than price of a coffee per episode. All of the funds help us buy better camera and audio equipment to improve the quality of our shows. Go to our Patreon site to learn more. https://www.patreon.com/DreamtimeSail
