After an outstanding but all too short stay in the Togian Islands of Sulawesi, we reluctantly set off for the first hop of our return trip to Luwuk expecting a typical equatorially windless and therefore boring motor to our next anchorage. That was until our engine blew its top, leaving us becalmed and adrift, literally in the middle of nowhere, a hundred and fifty miles from a mechanic. Add in a very tight deadline to extend our Indonesian visas and it’s a case of STRESS LEVEL TEN!.
