“Would you like to spend the day with me?” The longer we stay in a place, the more often we hear this. Someone will stop by the boat for a cup of coffee, and within a day or two they’ll be back with an invitation.
To their house for a coffee.
For a drive so they can show us around the local area.
Or even to join them for a day at work.
Both Drake and I love this when it happens, and it happens often. People living their daily lives in the places we visit, and they want to share that experience with us. They want to show us what it is like to live where they live.
Not always the tourist spot of the ‘it’ place where everyone flocks to take that Instagram photo before rushing off.
No, this is more than that.
This is people opening up about the simple and intimate tasks that make up their daily lives, and we are so honoured that they share this with us.
