We are sailing in the land of giants. The crew of Paragon thought we had seen proper icebergs on the western side of Greenland, but we had seen nothing. The east coast towers with massive icebergs 15 stories tall (or more!) that are essentially floating mountains. Sailing through this is challenging, but then night falls and the wind beings to blow. 30…35…40…45 knots and darkness. In an iceberg field. Guided only by our radar, our knowledge, and desperate scans of the darkness surrounding us we pass through these dangerous waters.
