This time on Distant Shores we deal with currents on the 600 mile passage offshore to the Canary Islands from Portugal. We then sail from Lanzarote to Gran Canaria for the start of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) and prepare for the big one – a 3000 mile transatlantic crossing, the first for our new Enksail Orion 49 aluminum sailboat.
