Our 3,000-mile transatlantic crossing continues aboard the Bluewater 50 catamaran, “Zao”. In Part 2, we set up the spinnaker off the Cabo Verde Islands to begin a downwind run to the Caribbean, climb the mast underway to do repairs, go for a swim mid-Atlantic and celebrate Thanksgiving at sea. This is our 8th crossing but the first one that we’ve ever done on a multi-hull and the first transatlantic passage ever for our crew of sailing bloggers and videographers. Follow this series to see what crossing an ocean aboard a catamaran is really like.
