Sailing to the Galapagos Islands – Chase the Story 35
With the anticipation of leaving for the HUGE Pacific Ocean crossing weighing on all of us, we set out for the magical Galapagos Islands. Alas, the Pacific doesn’t live up to it’s name and we have to fight our way south and nearly end up in Ecuador! But, just as our spirits are down, a pod of jumping dolphins comes to cheer us on!!
After quite a struggle, Tasha and Liam catch a massive male Mahi Mahi and we devour sushi for days to celebrate. Even a biblical rain storm couldn’t get in the way, and the crew decide to take a promptu shower to make the most of the free water.
We hope everyone enjoys this story; it’s got a few ups and downs, but the crew grew as a team and got through it, and we were happy to knock off a few miles nearer to our goal – the magical Galapagos Islands.
