Episode 46 – Prepping the Boat to Sail Off the Grid
Our crew have all left and Cheeky Monkey is back to a crew of two: Tasha and Ryan. They’re making plans to sail off the grid in French Polynesia so they can explore some remote islands and they need to do some work before the boat is ready to go.
See what Tasha and Ryan do to prepare Cheeky Monkey for a few months at anchor and get a feeling for the island of Hiva Oa in the Marquesas as they happen upon an inter-island Polynesian song and dance festival held at a local church.

Within 2 years of buying the new boat, the couple got divorced, Tasha got her Captain's license and US Sailing Instructor's certification and started teaching women to sail in the Caribbean. When pandemic hit, Tasha went back to Lake Tahoe, CA and during lockdown started teaching Women's Sailing courses on Lake Tahoe, CA. She's been trying to figure out what to do next and how to keep empowering more women on boats, teaching others to sail.
