DIY Diesel Fuel Polishing | Cleaning ‘Sail & Doxie’s’ Tank Before the Med! Ep 117
Before 'Sail & Doxie' set sail towards the Med, we teamed up for cleaning their diesel tank. Fredrik has made DYI Diesel Fuel Polishing "machine", have a look, it works great!
Dirty fuel and sludge buildup can be a nightmare at sea, but with a little ingenuity (and a few hours of work), their tank is now spotless, the fuel is clean, and the engine is ready for the journey ahead.
In this episode, we show you how we built and used a simple but effective diesel fuel polishing setup onboard. From filtering out the gunk to restoring fuel clarity, we walk through the whole process step by step.
With Sail & Doxie ready to head south, and our own boat prepped and polished, we’re officially kicking off the sailing season. Let’s get cruising!
