Our sea trial got off to a hot start with sporty trade wind conditions. Then, I went to check the engine — to see if our oil leak repair was working — and that’s when I noticed water spurting in through the dripless shaft seal!

But I stayed cool, didn’t panic, managed the problem, and we soon got settled in a beautiful new anchorage. Obviously, it’s unsettling to have water coming in the boat when the engine runs but we reckon it’ll be alright as long as we sail 🤔 anyway – watch the episode and let me know what you think.

Cheers,
Michal
