Real time Update Oct.’24 – Building my steel sailing yacht

Since the beginning of September until the end of October, those 2 past months were seriously brutal on me, both physically and mentally, with A CRAZY, RIDICULOUS amount of work that HAD to be achieved, in order to first launch Mistress and then get her safely back to the Sunshine Coast!
One of two of THE MOST STRESSFUL experiences of my entire life!
This real time update is to just touch base with everybody and to let you know briefly how things are travelling and the ‘now first’ priority plans that I am working on.

Mistress is designed by one of the highly respected Dutch naval architects E.G. Van de Stadt, a Caribbean design, length 40ft/12m, beam 13ft/3.9m, draft 5ft/1.5m. Her hull and decks are built in mild steel and I have built her on my own and am also fitting her out on my own. I have not built any type of boat before Mistress.

There were many reasons why, but the work stopped,…
However, the work has re-started, thankfully, and I am on an exciting journey to finish Mistress and then go on my sailing adventures,…
I hope that you can join along with me!
