The last push to get the boat ready for sea. Getting the liferaft tested was a big job that had to be done. The Raft was an old one that had been living in my kitchen for the last 5 years and appeared to be in good condition. It was expensive but worth the the peace of mind getting it retested. With the engine, we changed the oil and all the filters. As with all old Perkins, this engine needs lots of oil top ups and a loada luvin to keep it running!
One of the last big things on the list was the Plotter. In the last video it decided to quit and became an ex plotter! After looking around on the internet I found a self fix and saved the day . . . and a lot of money!!!
The next video coming up, ( a bit erratic at the moment due to being at sea and being in places with crappy internet!) will be the start of the adventure proper. Thanks so much for watching.
