PREPARING TO GO TO SEA [Adventure #99]

In Banderas Bay, Mexico we make some final preparations before casting off on our next passage. Taking advantage of an extensive nautical chart library, we find all the charts we will need for Central and South America and get them scanned and digitized for easy electronic charting. We also visit a local doctor and stock our offshore first aid kit with medications. Then, we do a final provisioning run, stocking up on produce and buying more than 10 kilos of fresh meat to pressure can and preserve for the months to come.
