BABY WHALES & GROWING ECOTOURISM [Adventure #105]

Small fishing towns located in a place rich with natural beauty and wildlife are trying to make a change and develop an ecotourism industry. Here, in the waters off Mexico’s Pacific Baja coast, hundreds of Grey Whales come to give birth in the protect lagoons, raise their young and mate. With opportunities to make a better income taking tourists out than in the struggling fishing industry, many of the locals around Magdalena Bay have become tour guides. We talk with the locals and go out and visit the whales ourselves.
