A Day Sail Aboard Schooner Bowdoin

In this episode we sail aboard Schooner Bowdoin. This vessel was built in 1921 by William Hand. She was designed for Arctic exploration. Built in East Boothbay Maine. She is currently at the Maine maritime Academy in Castine Maine and is used for the students at the academy’s training curriculum. Bowdoin has crossed the north of the Arctic circle as recently as the summer of 2008 with Captain Richard Miller in command. It was really awesome to be welcomed aboard and to see first hand what goes into running such a historic ship.

Sorry I was a week late in posting, I had come down with a cold and was down for the count on that one 😛
