Looking for another Montreal? Griffintown is one of Montreal’s most historic – and haunted – neighbourhoods. This part of the city has witnessed everything from the Irish refugees during the famine of 1847 to the Industrial Revolution, to the worst air disaster Montreal has ever seen. Today condominium towers are multiplying there but new residents are aware that this area was once a noisy slum and ghosts are common! The tour of haunted Griffintown takes in mysterious ruins, a polluted canal, ancient cemeteries and frightening buildings that are reputedly haunted. Led by a professional actor and storyteller, this tour will delight ghost hunters, history buffs and Halloween lovers alike, with scary stories about the spirits and paranormal activities that drive Griffintown.
