Great Barrier Reef Moore Reef and Fitzroy Island Premium Day Tour

Sunlover Reef Cruises is the only operator that combines the Outer Great Barrier Reef, at its Moore Reef pontoon, with Fitzroy Island in a single day. Depart the Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns at 8:00am and reach Moore Reef at 9:30am, before Sunlover’s main day cruise arrives. Spend 2.5 hours on Sunlover’s own section of the reef on an expansive pontoon full of space and a activities for everyone: snorkel with gear and a lycra suit included, or stay dry on the glass bottom boat, semi-submersible (sea and weather permitting) and underwater observatory. Kids have a snorkel training area and a 30-metre spiral waterslide. Then cruise 45 minutes to Fitzroy Island, a rainforest national park, for a buffet lunch at Zephyr’s on Welcome Bay and 1.5 hours to swim or walk to Nudey Beach. Back in Cairns by 4:30pm. Runs Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Sunlover Reef Cruises has operated from Cairns since 1991, is Australian owned and is an Ecotourism Australia Hall of Fame member.

Additional Information

• Suitable for all physical fitness levels
• The crossing to the reef takes about 1.5 hours and can be rough. If you are prone to seasickness, take a travel-sickness tablet before departure. Tablets are also sold on board.
• Snorkel gear is provided at Moore Reef only. Hire gear from the island resort hire centre if you want to snorkel from the beach on Fitzroy Island.
• Wheelchair users: wheelchairs can board the Reef & Island vessel, which has an accessible toilet but no designated wheelchair seating. The pontoon suits most manual wheelchairs. Fitzroy Island's national park tracks are not wheelchair accessible. Electric wheelchairs over 30 kg and mobility scooters cannot be taken on board. • Drones are not allowed near the pontoon because of the helicopter flight path.
• Minimum age is 12 years for participating in Seawalker Helmet dive – medical conditions apply

CRUISING FROM CAIRNS:
Check-in & collection of boarding passes must be completed 07:00 – 07:30 at the Sunlover Cruises desk inside the Reef Terminal at Cairns Marina (located corner of Spence St & Pier Point Road). Passengers failing to check-in by 07:30 may miss final boarding. **BOARDING PASS REQUIRED**.

FLY CRUISE:
Check-in 08:15am at the Reef Fleet Terminal.
