Our Watermaker CRACKS Under Pressure! - Sailing Turtle

Whenever we tell people our story and tell them we’d like to full time cruisers, one of the first things the saltier sailors mention is the importance of having a watermaker. We took this advice to heart and purchased the Seawater Pro single membrane watermaker. While we didn’t get to do the install while we were in the US, we were confident that it was something we could get done on anchor while in the Bahamas. And after a bit of sourcing of a small plumbing accessory, we actually were able to stay true to that, until we actually turned it on. As soon as we turned it on, our casing that holds the membrane gave a loud cracking noise and we would soon discover that we had on our hands a brand new broken watermaker.
