Just as we excitedly made plans as to when we could start our journey south, we get hit with a big reality check of boat life. If you don’t do things the right way the first time, it’ll come back to haunt you. Or in our case, if some previous person did a bad job, we pay the consequences. We find delamination under our windlass and a quick check turns into a week long marathon of deck repair. As always, we take it as a chance to do things right on Turtle and make our boat just a bit safer and do it all with a smile. Or that might be the gel coat fumes talking…
