One of the main questions we get asked about living on a sailboat is “do you work?” Jonas has been lucky to be able to work a fairly regular office job while living on a sailboat. Initially we thought the change in lifestyle might make regular employment more difficult, but if anything the boat has made things easier: we are closer to downtown, and have fewer chores around the “house” to deal with. Many of our neighbours who live-aboard also work full time and it seems to be very possible to maintain a regular balance, despite some of the differences in lifestyle on the water.
