We left Cascais, Portugal on a 680 nautical mile trip to the little island of La Graciosa, in the Canary Islands. Although departing with some friends, we lost them pretty quickly after a gusty night. Despite being alone out there for 6 days, we sunk into the rhythm of the sea, with our days determined by the rising and setting of the sun and the ebb and flow of the waves.
