Davy and I (Erica) have recently upgraded to a hurricane damaged catamaran! This new chapter is going to push us in very different ways. From repairing fibreglass, fixing electronics, cleaning up the cosmetics and many many more jobs, this new phase of our adventure is going to be very exciting. We are looking forward to getting Barefoot 2.0 up to cruising standards! In this weeks episode of Barefoot Travels we replace a broken perspex window that we have had on Barefoot for a while.
Replacing Perspex windows can we a pain in the butt as they are hard to remove from the vessel. It’s also important to note you need a special primer before applying sikaflex 295 UV. This primer helps the glue adhere so they stay attached to the vessel in the long term.
