In the last 100nm of our Atlantic crossing O Canada had a collision with a humpback Whale. We were doing about 20kts when something struck the boat hard. We saw they whale surface after the collision about 100m behind the yacht. Unfortunately we lost our starboard rudder and are currently working on finding a solution in Newport. he current condition of the whale is unknown but our thoughts are with the great beast
