Davy and I (Erica) have recently upgraded to a hurricane damaged catamaran! This new chapter is going to push us in very different ways. From repairing fibreglass, fixing electronics, cleaning up the cosmetics and many many more jobs, this new phase of our adventure is going to be very exciting. We are looking forward to getting Barefoot 2.0 up to cruising standards! In this episode of Barefoot Sail and Dive ALL BOAT WORK STOPPED. The boatyard shut down Tuesday May 15th and as of today Friday the 25th it is still shut down. We are sad and not really sure what to do next. The yard may be shut down for 60 days!! No one can give us an answer of when we will be given permission to start working.
We are exhausted. We put together a great team to try and get in the water asap. Today (the 25th) was our proposed splash day.
Luperon is a beautiful place and we are happy to be here. Make sure you check out Cambiaso beach if you come this way. It is a stunning little beach lined with coconut palms. Definitely helped cheer us up a bit!
